Deploy in minutes

Welcome every device — and every property — to LobbyID

Each device takes on a role — a lobby kiosk, an officer's patrol phone, or a manager's console. No app store required: the platform installs from the browser and locks down to a single purpose.

Device roles

One app, three purposes

The app routes each device by role — no configuration per device.

Lobby Kiosk

A fixed tablet at the front desk or building entrance for visitor self check-in.

  • iPad or Android, 10"+ recommended
  • Front-facing camera
  • Always-on power
  • Steady Wi-Fi

Officer / Patrol

A phone carried by guards for checkpoint scans, tours, and incident reports.

  • iOS or Android phone
  • Rear camera + GPS
  • NFC optional
  • Cellular or Wi-Fi

Manager Console

A laptop or desktop for reporting, compliance, billing, and settings.

  • Any modern browser
  • No install required
  • Keyboard + mouse
  • Any network
Setup

Install a kiosk in four steps

Takes under five minutes per device. Repeat for every entrance.

1 · Connect to Wi-Fi

Power on the device and join the property's secure network. Kiosks need a stable connection to stream the live check-in lens.

2 · Open the app URL

Launch the browser and visit your LobbyID link. Sign in once, then choose Kiosk mode for a lobby tablet.

3 · Add to Home Screen

iOS: Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen. The icon opens full-screen like a native app.

4 · Lock the device down

iOS Guided Access or Android Screen Pinning keeps the app in kiosk mode so visitors can't leave it.

Mounting

Place the device in a secured display

A kiosk is only as reliable as where you mount it. Follow these placement rules for a clean, tamper-proof install.

Eye-level, facing the door

Mount the tablet 48–52 in (122–132 cm) high so a standing visitor can comfortably scan and tap. Angle it 10–15° toward the main approach.

Avoid direct glare

Face the screen away from windows and overhead lights. If the kiosk camera is used, backlight causes dark visitor photos — place the light source behind the device.

Concealed power

Route the charging cable inside the stand or wall. Keep the device plugged in at all times; kiosk mode suppresses the low-battery alert.

Secured enclosure

Use a bolted or adhesive-mount kiosk stand/enclosure that blocks access to the home button and ports. The device should be removable only by staff.

Recommended enclosures: any bolted or VHB-adhesive kiosk stand rated for the tablet model works — look for one that hides the cable, tilts forward, and blocks the physical home button. For unattended 24/7 lobbies, a lockable metal enclosure (not a soft case) is strongly advised.

Lock-down

Keep visitors inside the app

Lock the tablet to a single app so it can't exit the kiosk. Choose your device family:

iPad / iPhone (Guided Access)

  1. 1Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access → toggle On
  2. 2Open LobbyID, triple-press the side button
  3. 3Draw around any areas to disable, tap Start
  4. 4Set a passcode only managers know (Settings remembers it)
  5. 5To exit: triple-press side button → enter passcode

Samsung / Knox (Kiosk Mode)

  1. 1Settings → Lock screen → Secure lock → Screen pinning on
  2. 2Open the kiosk, tap Recents, pin the app
  3. 3For full lockdown: Samsung Knox Configure → Single App Mode
  4. 4Manager exits via a PIN in the Knox agent

Android (Screen Pinning)

  1. 1Settings → Security → Screen pinning → On
  2. 2Open LobbyID and tap the Recents button
  3. 3Tap the pin icon at the bottom-right of the app card
  4. 4Ask for PIN before unpinning: switch on
  5. 5Unpin by long-pressing Back + Recents together

Officer patrol phones

Install the same way — Add to Home Screen — then sign in. The app routes officers straight to the patrol dashboard for checkpoint scans, tours, and SOS. No lock-down needed; the phone stays personal to the guard.

Manager consoles

No install at all. Open the link in any desktop browser, sign in, and you're on the full reporting and compliance dashboard. Bookmark it for convenience.
